Hope the Bear Care Package
Our Hope the Bear Care Packages are individually tailored to each family based on the information we receive. Every package includes a “Hope” teddy bear for each child in the family, books, workbooks, brochures, and additional information to help the family better cope with cancer. Our volunteers make security blankets for those under 4, and special bereavement packages for children and teens that have a parent with cancer or who have lost a parent to cancer. Donate a package to a child of our choosing, or order a package for a child you know who is coping with cancer.
Send A Kid to Camp
Kids Konnected camps provide a fun atmosphere and an opportunity to share and connect with other peers and adults who understand what they are dealing with. For more information on the upcoming camps, click here. Your generous donation can help send a child to one of these camps and help them gain a better understanding of their parents cancer…It’s nice to know that you’re not alone!
Support Groups
When a parent has cancer or passes away from cancer, it can have devastating emotional effects on the children. We offer monthly or bi-weekly group therapy sessions facilitated by a licensed therapist. These sessions allow kids to get the guidance they need and meet other kids going through the same experience so they know they are not alone. A donation of $50 can pay for these sessions for one child for one month, and a donation of $600 will cover an entire year. View Support Group Locations
Youth Leadership Training
Kids Konnected Youth Leaders have experienced the stress and trauma of having a parent with cancer and some have lost a parent to cancer. These Kids are an integral part of Kids Konnected, from monthly support groups, to support camps and even teddy bear outreach. Your donation will be used to send a teen to our yearly training retreat and give him/her a chance to be a role model to children in their community.
